WHY I CAME OFF THE CONTRACEPTIVE PILL.
Ive been on the pill from the age of 18 up until 27. For the last couple years, ive been on and off the pill after doing more and more research on how the pill actually effected my body during this crutial time of my body developing.
I noticed that my body literally swolled up, specifically my boob area and stomach. I dont feel like the pill makes you gain weight, but it does give you an appetite to want to eat more which is concerning. It also has high levels of estrogen which is unpleasent for the body. Like i said, i swelled up!
Ive also heard that the pill has given a few women some unwanted body hair, luckily im not a hairy woman i havent had to deal with that. Taking ht pill over a long period of time can 100% effect your womb which can lead to you having a hysterectomy (your entire womb being removed) and based on that, i had no option but to put the pill down because i 100% wana have kids one day.
Also another concerning thing that came to mind was the reasons why i chose to stay on the pill for so long, I was initially in a relationship which i ended, and met other people But where are these people now? its concerning that i chose to stay on the pill for even longer based on the fact that i didnt want to get pregnant for these men. So for ten mins of fun, i was basically sacrificing a life time of not having children. That is wasteful!
I spoke to my mother about it as she is my angel, and she told me i was doing the right thing. If i choose to have intercourse with anyone, it will have to be protected with a condom whether we like it or not because i refuse to mistreat my vagina anymore! Its not like sex lasts for more than 10 mins these days anyway! sigh! lmao
